Friends, come help me launch Grief’s Compass, a memoir of loss and recovery told in many forms—poems, journal entries, narrative, and encounters with the writings of Emily Dickinson. No stages of grief! Instead, we’ll explore a compass and four cardinal points I believe are universal—loss, memory, story, and healing. I’ll briefly share my experience with grief and healing after my brother’s death and read a few passages from the book. The rest of the time will be for visiting, enjoying refreshments, and celebrating companionship.
